3D Modeling for FTC

Welcome! We hvae a separate directory for 3D modeling, however not all 3D modeling software is suitable for FTC. For example, the LEGO CADs are not ideal since most robots are made of metal, not LEGO:)

The best CADs for FTC are SOLIDWORKS and Inventor, which both have quite expensive licenses, however Fusion 360 is a less powerful but cheaper option. We do not provide lessons for Inventor, though its interface is quite similar to Fusion 360. We do not recommend SketchUp since it is extremely inprecise and hard to make precise. It is good for small inprecise parts, but SOLIDWORKS is the most powerful.

We have lessons for those CADs here:
SOLIDWORKS
Fusion 360
SketchUp
